My name is Kathleen — you can call me Katie! — and I am a grant writer and funding consultant based in Saint John, New Brunswick. I have provided grant writing support to non-profit organizations of all kinds (with a focus on arts organizations and those serving 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities) and artists of all career levels, including visual artists, musicians, industry professionals, dance artists, filmmakers, artist-run centres, dance companies, art-at-night festivals, and more.
Let's get funded!
Let's get funded!
Since 2019, I have helped artists and non-profits in Atlantic Canada (and beyond!) access over $2 million in grant funding.
5 years
After graduating from SACI College of Art and Design in Florence, Italy with a Masters degree in Art History, I worked as a grant writer for an International Sculpture Symposium in my home of Saint John, NB. From there, I served as Executive Director of Third Space Gallery for almost three years, which has led me to becoming a full-time self-employed grant writer and funding consultant!
$2 million
I have helped artists and non-profits secure funding for everything from contemporary art festivals to intergenerational programming for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I specialize in arts and social justice projects, but I love trying new things, so get in touch!
5 provinces
Although I do a lot of work in my home province of New Brunswick, I am proud to have supported artists and non-profit organizations in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Quebec, and British Columbia. Help me reach my goal of working in all 13 provinces & territories!
“Katie is an absolute dream to work with. She is efficient, task-oriented and thorough—an empathetic problem solver who goes above and beyond at every level. Not only has she helped us grow our capacity as an organization, but she has also helped us strategize, mobilize and look for new ways to diversify our funding opportunities.”
